Service Learning

NTHS encourages its chapters to combine service objectives with learning objectives.  These types of activities are intended to change both the recipient and the provider of the service.  This is an opportunity for students to not only use the knowledge they have gained in the classroom, but to give back to their local community. At the same time, they can add valuable work experience to their portfolio as well as network with others in their intended field. 

Schools that successfully implement a service learning project are invited to apply for the Silver Star of Excellence Service Learning Award.  Download the rules and application here.
